New playhouse

It has been two weeks since the last blog so I figured I needed to catch up.
Spring Break--Well it was okay. I hurt my back so I was on the floor laying down for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. I went and got a deep tissue massage on Tuesday that helped but it was so painful....the back and the massage. I had bruises. But by the end of the week it was better in time for my track meet on Saturday.
Chris, Kynda, and Bailey came over on Monday to spend some time with us...Bailey is so big and so cute.
Gunnar went with me to track practice on Friday which is always fun. The girls just love him. Some hadn't seen him in a while so he suprised them with how big he is now.
The most funny thing happened that week though....Gunnar likes to get into the cabinets in the kitchen. Some are child proofed and some are not so he can explore. We have one with cups and storage bowls/lids in it. Gunnar had on occasion cleaned it out, playing with the storage stuff and then leaving it to clean up. One day he is in the kitchen and I didn't hear him as well...he decided to not only clean out the cabinet but get inside. He loved it! He would open and close the door over and over. We started playing pick-a-boo with him.
We now leave it cleaned out for him to play in his kitchen "clubhouse" and put toys in there for him to play with. Below are pictures of him when he first explored inside.

Gunnar likes to read the newspaper and magazines. He doesn't tear them up, crinkle them, or destroy them in any way. He actually looks like he is reading it. I captured him doing it last Sunday.

Happy 16th Birthday Torii!!

New car!

Nick has been taking Gunnar over to Erin and Bobby's house for playdates with Landry. They have a little pink car for Landry to ride in as Erin or Bobby push her around. At one of the visits Gunnar got in the car and Erin started pushing him around...he loved it! So daddy went and got Gunnar is own little car for him to ride around in at home and hopefully when we go to some places (he doesn't like going into shopping carts now after daddy spoiled him by carrying him). He weighs at least 37 lbs. now and is 36 inches tall so it is work.
He now even sits in it when he is watching television and he will play like he is driving it while making car sounds....he hits the horn too!

The next Coach Olson!

It is official, the Olson coach is in the making.  Daddy got a stopwatch for Gunnar to play with and I got a whistle out of my bag. I got the camera and he started posing for pictures.

Gunnar smiling big for the camera.

He is ready to time his first runner.

Big ham!

Wiggles visit

Nick has been planning different activities during the week for Gunnar and him--playdates with Erin, Bobby, and Landry, soon joining a toddlers' baseball program, and going to a place in Frisco called Wiggles. It is a indoor playground with different activities and toys. Below are some pictures Nick took on their first trip to the place. They are now scheduling a visit once a week.
They had a great time playing with the big toy cars and the rubber balls...all great fun except for this little girl that kept following Gunnar around and tried to take whatever toy he was playing with at the time.

Friday we went to the park before going to pick up dinner at Taco Delite. We slid down the slide, played on the bridge, and took a turn on the swings.

Mommy showing Gunnar a little love.

Gunnar cracking up at Daddy...we love this picture.
